Please discuss Zoe’s rates either by email or phone. However Zoe’s rates are below those recommended by the Australian Psychological Society (currently $254). Payment in full is appreciated at the end of the appointment either in cash, bank transfer or credit card (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX). Credit cards will incur a 1.5% surcharge. Zoe also offers phone consultations and video call sessions which can be rebated through STT/ATAPS, Medicare and Private Health Insurance. These sessions will be charged at the same rate as face-to-face sessions. For full time students, health care card holders and those on a disability pension, a discount may be negotiable.
Zoe is registered as a clinical psychologist with Medicare. The current Medicare rebate is $129.55. Medicare rebates are available for up to 20 sessions per calendar year.
To be eligible for the rebate, you will need to book a long consultation appointment with your GP and obtain both a referral letter and a Mental Health Care Plan. If you are referred by your psychiatrist, a referral letter is needed. Please bring the referral and your Mental Health Care Plan to your first appointment.
Private Health Fund Rebates
Zoe is registered with all major health funds. The rebate from each health fund may vary. Some health funds require their clients to have exhausted their Medicare-funded sessions for the year before private health fund rebate is applicable for psychology cover. Please check with your health fund provider for details. Some private health insurances cover video call sessions.
ATAPS/STT – NT
ATAPS (Access to Allied Psychological Services) counselling (up to 12 bulk billed sessions per calendar year) may be available for people under financial strain.
Zoe is registered under NDIS to provide therapeutic support and behavioural assessments.
Zoe can provide counselling under ADF’s counselling service – Garrison Health.
If you need to cancel or postpone an appointment, please give Zoe at least 48 hours notice, otherwise you may be charged a 50% cancellation fee.
Longer term private work
Zoe has an interest in working with some clients more frequently than the Medicare system funds. Longer term frequent sessions can help some clients work through deeper held concerns by using the therapeutic frame and therapeutic relationship to further explore their past and present relationships and related beliefs. If after a number of sessions you want to explore a more regular therapy arrangement then discounts to current fees may be applicable.
